Default Does Root=No More Wallet for Verizon users??

I've read in a few threads that some people are having success with Google Wallet even after running a custom ROM. I'm having lots of trouble getting help from Google Wallet customer service. They keep telling me they can't provision my hand set for use with wallet because Verizon is not supporting. I have numerous ROMS on my phone and can't seem to have any luck. Does anyone have an answer?

I've been running CM9 nightlies and there doesn't seem to be any problems with Wallet. I was on Codename before and I had problems with it.

I have that version of Wallet, and still can't get it to work. I'm on codename1.5.0. I don't have Market Enabler installed yet. Do I still need it?

Guess I'll try deleting Wallet and reinstalling it.

I had an issue a few weeks ago where Wallet told me the version I was using was outdated, tried to use Market Enabler but had no luck. Just uninstalled and re-installed, and its been working just fine for a few weeks now. I use it almost daily to get my morning coffee at the Circle K near my job.

Ran it now on Codename 1.5 and 1.5.5, no need to use Market Enabler, just install the apk.

Couldn't get Enabler to work, so I just installed it from your link. We'll see if that works.

Wallet works perfectly fine running CM9. The free 5 bucks from Google was a nice gesture

OK, I'm getting really pissed! I re-sideloaded wallet and it still doesn't work. I tried to get the update from the play store using Market Enabler and I'm unable to get it. WTF!!!

I'm not seeing that message on my rooted GN (yet), but based on all of the problems being reported with the use of Wallet, it's starting to look to me that there is more risk associated with Wallet than it's worth. There aren't many of retailers using it in my area anyway, so I may just uninstall it.

Ok, giving it a shot. I unistalled the old app, fake TMO on market enabler, installed the new update from ur link, and setting up wallet. Let's hope this works.

Update: Looks promising, no banner across the top.

Yes the Unsupported Device message you just get when you're rooted.. it still works fine, just used Wallet for the first time yesterday actually. Was fun. Lol

I'm on Codename and I have it installed just fine. It says it's unsupported but it's there. Granted I haven't actually tried using it but it appears to run just fine.

So I'm now running CM9 nightlies 3.31.12 and got Google Wallet up and running successfully. Even took advantage of the extra $5 they added to my already existing balance from before I first rooted. Never knew I'd miss my Google Wallet as much as I did. Almost a month and a half without making purchases from my phone was tickin me off!
