Just as the title says, anyone currently running or keep going back to a certain ROM? I'm going to be rooting tonight and I'm curious what everyone is running for long periods?

I know some people are flash a holics and are constantly changing things up but any Roms stand out more then others?

Please mention how stability, speed, and battery life have been on the ROM. Along with favorite features that keep you coming back.

Thanks! :)

Right now? Patient Zero M1.

For a "go to," the CM9 nightlies are nice b/c they are wickedly stable, fast, and very predictable. I've only stretched the battery's sea legs twice, and I was able to get 8 hours with heavy usage, 25-30% left, using franco kernel and a Patient Zero version from a couple of weeks ago.

My current DD is AOKP 31. Stability, speed is top notch.
I have used patient zero, crossbreed, liquid and others and frankly they are all excellent.
There are other less full featured ones that are excellent also, if you like the more stock feel of ics.
Coming from stock, you will be floored with the feature set of the mature custom roms.
The thing about this phone is the sheer volume of roms/kernels/mods, one can be overwhelmed with the choices.
With the nandroid system you can try out roms and if you dont like em, your previous setup is just a restore away.
Just pick one and flash, test drive and see what you like.

Yeah I was doing this with my Droid 1. That had crazy ROMs available and it was a little overwhelming. I would keep liquid as my go to Nandroid and try different ones with good feedback.
My all time favs were Liquid and project elite on that platform. Can't wait to see what liquid has done to ICS.
I thought the rooting/roming process was going to be completely different with the nexus, that's why I was procrastinating. But it seems to be similar to what I was doing all the time with my D1.

I thought also I was going to be lost with a new complex rooting procedure and such. But with one clicks available and a terminal friendly phone I'm looking forward to it. Looks as easy as my D1 was.

AOKP is a solid staple, and I can happily use anything with the aokp feature set (most Axiom roms, etc).

Not yet interested in cm9 - maybe in a month or two when they have their features sorted out, i'm sure it will be a cornerstone of roms across devices for months to come.

Also, Liquid is great. Rivals AOKP on the features I need, and has good performance so far.

Mine is Bugless Beast
I've used it on different devices now and it's super stable and fast. It very close to stock with just a few extras added. Battery life is on better than any other ROM I have tried.

I bounce back and forth between AOKP and Patient Zero mostly, I like Patient Zero better overall but AOKP has the best themes available IMO.

BAMF Paradigm. about to update to v1.2, which was just released. It's awesome.

I'm also running paradigm.
Very stable, no reboots, it's overclocked but you can adjust that.
I don't pay attention to battery life.

Haven't left Bugless Beast since flashing as my 1st ROM, so smooth and fast without issues what so ever for me. I run Franco's kernel as well. Been thinking about Liquid but just haven't flashed, I loved BAMF on my Tbolt but haven't tried their Nexus ROM either. Why mess with my Beast if it's so sick?! :-) I don't need most of the flashy features other ROM's offer, close to stock ICS works for me.

i have only ran two new to roms here also. i ran gummy for a week or so worked great but has a few reboot issues so switched to liquid 1.25 seems fast smooth better battery life than stock a lot of customization options too

Why do you like Patient Zero better? Any particular reason?

I'm a former FASN8 flashaholic and I'm getting ready to flash away on the new GNX - hoping the radios/ROMs will help with the ridiculous 4G radio issue.

P.S. GO WINGS!! :D

Speed, speed, speed :D

Good question - I'm about 2 weeks into my GNX and ready to flash this puppy because I'm getting tired of waiting for the 4.0.5 fix - 4G is practically useless the way it is.

P.S. Nice avatar. :D

Thanks (Cant wait for season 5!), I am in the same boat. I just can't wait any longer. I just Rooted the phone and installed CWM about 5 minutes ago. Im running a nandroid right now for an original backup. Still deciding what ROM to go with, might give liquid a try but the other ROMs mentioned sound good as well. First things first though, im flashing the 4.0.4 radios. Need to get this signal problem in check.

I've seen no reason yet to jump from AOKP, rock solid and very feature packed.

Same. I read up on all the forums about all the ROMs available, and general concensus was that AOKP was tits. I'm really happy with it, and Franco's r133 is playing well with it.

I make a new nandroid every time I make a major change as long as it's stable. This way whenever I do flash something else I have the most updated AOKP setup to go back to if I don't like the ROMS I just flashed.

So far though, I just keep tweaking stuff on my current ROM, and haven't flashed another one yet.

I'll probably check out CM9 nightlies, Liquid, Axi0m, and maybe Gummy. So far though, just really stoked with b30. Might dirty flash 31 over top... hate setting everything up again. It's the only reason I waited so long to ROM my Nexus... constantly setting it up doth sucketh. That, and my fiance hates me always playing with it too (the phone ;) ).

AOKP for sure is the most feature packed and its also very stable and everything works fine.. anyone will be very impressed. I'd recommend Patient Zero M1... which is DroidTh3ory's way of sticking all the AOKP features into a base known as Axi0m which has his legendary speed, butter and battery tweaks. Patient Zero does have significant theming applied.. such as more blacked out menus and such (which is actually better for battery life a little bit) and ICS blue text applied to a lot of system text. The theming is really nicely done, but some people don't love it... I'd say try her out and if you really don't like it for any reason then go with straight AOKP.

And that's not to knock any other ROMs... While I haven't tried gummy or liquid they clearly are great ROMs as well as a lot of people recommend them too, so don't feel like its AOKP or bust, lol.

Only thing I actually wouldn't try yet is CM9, as many features do not work yet and are only present as placeholders until they are ready. Obviously once it matures more it will be a top tier ROM, I just haven't seen that its there yet.
