Lightbulb Is this true about the Verizon Galaxy Nexus?

I was told if I unlocked my Verizon Glaxy Nexus that I could use it on any phone carrier as long as I have a working simm card. If so how do I change the carrier inside of the phone.

Um, I do not believe that is accurate information, unless you count roaming...?

This is true for the Galaxy Nexus i9250, which is not sold directly in the U.S. (this is what i have). However, you own the Galaxy Nexus i515, which only works for Verizon.

And as a point of clarification, "any carrier" is really any GSM carrier, such as T-Mobile and AT&T. Sprint and Verizon are not GSM, but CDMA - where only their phones will work with their service.

    Sent from my Galaxy Nexus
