    Default Boot loop

So I tried to install Vicious JB v3 and my phone rebooted at the google login. So not wanting to deal with that I went into recovery to restore my backup, it couldn't reload the data. So I wiped cache and tried again, same thing. I then restored my stock back up I had and was able to get into the os, despite it not restoring data either. Once there I reloaded the CWR and tried to do another restore to my AOKP rom. Same thing went back to stock and now my phone just stays on the Galaxy Nexus splash screen and recovery is gone because it's a stock back up. Anyone have any suggestions or am I screwed?

I think when that happens you need the factory img. To bring it back to normal (out of the box settings) after that , I'm not 100% sure on what to do. Maybe something with abd. Putting it in a folder. But have u tried booting in recovery afterwards?

Sounds like you need to restore stock images. Check the factory images sticky here or the softbricking portion of my Jelly Bean guide for a bit more detail .

assuming that you wiped everything, how long did you wait at the initial boot screen after you flashed v3? it can take sometime ... most people start panicking and pull the battery.

This. Don't panic, let it sit in peace. If it's been 15 minutes, pull the battery, wipe cache/dalvik, and try again.

Here, though, enough might be corrupted that the stock restoration is probably needed/necessary.

If the recovery is borked, you might have to do a stock restoration for sure. Better safe than sorry.

I got the v3 to boot and let me log into my Google account but it rebooted me phone before I could finish typing in my password. So I went back to recovery to try to restore my other back up. I tried to do a stock recovery but the adb wouldn't recognize the phone as being attached even in the bootloader. I have the insurance, Verizon is sending me a new one. Phones screwed I've tried everything couldn't even get the stock recovery images flashed on there.

Oh wow, that's very unfortunate .

Do you have drivers setup? Once in the bootloader you should be in "fastboot mode." From there it's simply fastboot'ing the images over.

I'm in the fastboot but my phones not in debug mode i think that's why it's not getting recognized but i can't get into the OS to put it on.

Do you have Linux? Did you set up adb and all of that? It takes ~15 minutes to restore it on there. Trust me, I've done it twice in the past week .

I think I got it to work, except for the last flash command the phones rebooting now see what happens if it continues to just loop like it did before.

Ok. If you need help using Linux, let me know. Just take my commands from my JB guide and add "sudo" and you're good to go.

No worries, that's a very common error, I do it all the time. Hence I put everything in Downloads.

    cd Downloads...done!

word i changed mysid folder to something like "android". i think the mac guide used to have it called "adb-fastboot" so that's another easy name to run with.

Ya getting the path right was my screw up, wasn't recognizing fastboot as a command once I figured that out and got the path right it was a joke. Only problem was it wiped my storage so I jade to reinstall all my apps from memory. Now I just have to figure out why ROM manager keeps crashing, I think its because its not asking for superuser. Got a backup and recovery flashed through ROMtoolbox so for now I'm OK.
