Flashing my nexus
Hello everyone this is my first post so forgive the noob question. I recently unlocked and rooted my verizon nexus. I am currently trying to install the Vicious TORO JB 4.1.1-V1 rom but when it boots into the beginning phase I see the Android laying down with a red triangle and a black explanation point inside. After about a minute or so the phone boots back into original state. Does anyone know what these means and how can I fix it to properly flash the Rom?
I am using Rom Manager Premium. - 07-14-2012, 04:09 PM #2
Re: Flashing my nexus
You aren't flashing recovery before trying to flash, so you are seeing the stock recovery.
In RM find the option to flash recovery first, then boot to recovery and flash the ROM from within there.
1. Wipe Data/factory reset
2. Install file from sd > Find the ROM.
3. Do again for GAPPs if necessary (I don't know if that ROM has them separated or not, make sure you check).
4. Reboot and enjoy.

You need to flash recovery. Its at the top of the main ROM manager screen(top of the pic). Also I would check all three options off when you go to install the ROM. Clear caches, dalvik and factory reset. Better to have a clean slate. Also gapps are included in vicious 4.1.1 so no need to worry about that.
