[ROM][CM10][JB] Euroskank JellyBro

So I just unlocked and rooted my phone for the first time. I went through CWM and installed and flashed CyanogenMod 10. My phone has now had the CM circles spinning for about 10 minutes. Is this normal? How long does it normally take?? Thanks!

Did you flash the gapps? Did you flash 4.2 or 4.1?

I was trying to flash 10.1 (Nighlies). Not sure if I had a bad link or what. I reinstalled to SD and got it to work, but as soon as I flashed the GAPPS, it would just crash the phone. I flashed 10.0 (stable), then the GAPPS, and that seems to work just fine.

Downloaded the latest nightly from the link in post #1. There should be no problem running it. Clean install.

I am running this rom and ever since installing everything is very slow. Extremely slow. Plus I am getting huge battery drain that I never had using bugless beast or AOKP.
I haven't downloaded the latest nightly (I don't think). Thoughts?

Are you on the stock kernel? Try lean or franco's kernels.

Anyone else having memory issues with the 223 build? My memory goes down to 80 and really slows down the phone to the point where apps don't run right.

So far working well with the 3/3 build. Have they incorporated 4.2.2/M2 yet?

Not yet, radios were not available when M2 came out.

Well radios would not have been incorporated anyway since they're separate from ROMs. I was more talking about whether they incorporated the 4.2.2 base. Oh well

Just flashed from the last Euroskank before 4.2.x and I cannot seem to find where the development tab is within the phone settings. I can't enable the ADB thing, any ideas to where it is?

Hi bawoo, the last Euroskank prior to 4.2.x is dated what? 11-26 or so? I am still running 4.1.2 dated 10-19 with 07-23 xoomdev GAPPs and like it. Stable, does everything I need. No real need to update to 4.2.x as I see it.

So the last Skankification was 11/16. I was super hesitant to flash, but am somewhat glad I did (?). I'm trying to find a good kernel though.

And to my previous question, I cannot find the development tab anywhere

Go to about phone, go down to build number, and tap it about 7 times and you will see a message when developer has been activated. As for kernel, I am using franco's and get good life.

Maybe it's a CM10.1 thing (probably is), but lately I've been getting a lot of notification sounds as if I have a notification, but there's no notification in the status bar. I check all my mail apps, my messengers etc... And they are all current with no unread messages or mails.

Anybody else getting this?

Yeah. I do that every flash. I'm zeroing in on it. I think I'm getting notification sounds whenever battery charge is connected.

I'm beginning to suspect it's tied to the new dashclock widget. Doubt it's the rom.

I'm currently running JDX (Jelly Belly) Rom. It was the first rom I ever flashed and have been flashing its updates ever since. I'm still not 100% confident in my flashing abilities but want to flash a different rom, because, well because I'm bored. Been reading a lot of great things about Euroskank and CM in general and want to take it for a test drive. To get started I'm assuming I should first do a titanium back up, but not exactly sure what the next steps are to get the right set up with CM10? Thanks for any help in advance.

Yes do a back up of all your apps and do a nandroid. Also update cwm.
