Sorry if I sound like a jerk but its best to just flash a few and try them out to see what you like. This thread is likely to get filled with useless input like "my cat died when I flashed xxxxx rom" or "I love xxxxx rom". I'm running cm10 and its stable with lots of customization with few bugs. Bugless beast is very stock but runs flawlessly, imo. Hope this helps.

Try AOKP,

AOKP. Each update adds features (can't wait for them to catch up to milestone 6!), and the are updating at a ridiculous pace (4 updates in a week?!?) And I so far have experienced the fewest bugs on it compared to bugless beast and jelly belly. I also want to add that today my battery life increased by about 4 hours when I paired the ROM with Franco's kernel (nightly build 230).

Re: best 4.1.1 rom
AOKP is running pretty nice. Especially since the theme engine is back in nightly #1

Re: best 4.1.1 rom
+1 for that. I'm not a "plain vanilla" person. I like bells and whistles. Some of the added features I like...
- Controls in the notification shade. I like being able to just swipe down anytime and change the brightness or turn on/off bluetooth, etc. without exiting an app.
- Profiles that use RFID tags via NFC. I have those pesky little RFID tags all around including my car and I like that I just tap them with my phone and a bunch of setting change.
There are a bunch of other features added. Sure I can get apps to so many of the things they've added, but I don't have to the features are baked in.
Daily updates. I'm downloading today's now.
Plus I haven't found any bugs. At least not yet. - 07-30-2012, 11:21 AM #10
Aokp was almost perfect with ICS and I hear its gotten much better with JB. You can customize almost everything with it. Actually gonna download it now, I really dig all the options it has even if some aren't working yet.

I won't say its better than their final ICS release due to the wealth of features they had added and its amazing stability yet, but the core of JB IS a massive improvement. I can't wait for all the missing ICS features to be reimplemented back into this ROM (hidden buttons ftw!).

Re: best 4.1.1 rom
Jelly Belly since it dropped. The butter is good enough for me. Added power control app for my toggles and wave launcher for my webOS fix. This makes me happy.

I admit it...I just installed cm 10 jelly bro as well. I will withhold judgment until tomorrow to see what the battery life is like, but so far it is pretty nice. Not as many customization options as I thought there were gonna be, but definitely more than what AOKP has to offer.

Re: best 4.1.1 rom
If I could vote twice, both votes would be for JBSourcery. Like ddemlong said!!! I just found in it's tools the fix for Verizon Data usage login. Links to a ton of different kernels to download, WOW! and just wait until SteamWorks theme comes out for it. No other ROM need apply.

Re: best 4.1.1 rom
I've tried many different JB roms and I've pretty much liked all of them. I tend to like roms with more customization options. Of course, they need to be stable, but even some no names I tried were pretty much solid. Recently I've pretty much run either AOKP, Euroskank, CM10, JBSourcery (although 2.1 was a disaster that the devs admitted and quickly fixed in 2.2), or CNA for about a week at a time. That said I've tried about every rom on galaxynexusroms at one point by now. I've been running CNA 3.5 with Franco M5 and it's been flawless, but so have many others. JBSourcery has to take the cake for having the most options built in (as in being able to flash mods/icons/fixes from within the rom manager), but I found flashing this or that myself here and there more fun. Setup is snappy and painless with the help of Google, Nova, and MyBackup Pro. Make a nandroid and flash away without fear. I suggest looking through the rom/kernel options etc. before bothering to setup your phone.

Re: best 4.1.1 rom
CNA has been the best for me. It's just been so solid I haven't tried anything else since the early days of ES and the first few ports.
