I am slowly but surely becoming nerdy. Not having a lot of money to spend on toys makes people get creative, well me at least which is why I picked up this phone. Kinda expensive up front but with everything the GN is capable of I will get my moneys worth out of it.

I am currently running Bugless Beast (my first custom ROM, first Android, all that) and I love it, but I am wanting a little more now. Since this is my first venture into Android, I wanted to be able to try rooting, roming, and unlocking while staying near stock (not a lot of options to get myself into trouble with).

I am about to get a mhl adapter and I want to add the ability to put my home screen in landscape mode. Also would like to add a wifi tethering toggle, I know it would only save me about three clicks but it would be nice. I have looked over on XDA but cant find anyway to add these to BB(not exactly sure I was looking in the right section though). So I am thinking of switching ROMs and trying one with a few more options, specifically the two I mentioned. I know read, read, read(I do I promise), but like some others I am a little overwhelmed with all my options (esp coming from a BB Tour).

Sounds like you'd love to take CM10 a spin. I suggest Euroskank's builds, they're always fairly reliable, not too many options.

Is there a thread with an overview of the options of CM10. Specifically Skanks build?
