Default Every time I reboot, phone upgrades all 200 apps. How to stop?

I thought I had seen this issue posted before but cannot find the thread despite using search and several different search terms.
4.1.1 Stock Rooted. Kernel 3.0.31-g396c4df build JRO03O. Every time I power off, battery pull, anything-whenever I power back up /reboot the phone goes into a long, drawn-out routine of upgrading and optimizing about 200 google apps. This was not previously the case and would do it only upon flashing a new rom or such.. Now it does it all the time and I would like to make it stop. How?

    Is fast boot on?

You must have something set to wipe your dalvik on reboot.

Unlike HTC we GN users don't have a fastboot option or a "Power" selection in settings. I think a custom kernel is needed for that on our GN. I really don't know where to find the setting on the GN.

Sounds plausible. Don't know what the heck it could be, though.

Yes I would have to agree there is something set to wipe dalvik on boot.

What recovery are you running? CWM or TWRP?

Scratching my head.... This just shouldn't be happening unless you have a 3rd party app telling it to wipe dalvik on boot.

Using any kernel or other power management etc apps?

    Nope.
Think I am going to try flashing a rom-kernel and see if it still happens. Only trouble is making back-ups.Stupid google won't put out phones with external sd cards. Trying to move sd card to pc is futile in Windows 7 64 bit. Windows explorer slows to a glacial crawl. Rats!

Yeah I find myself using ADB quite often to move files.. Seems to work much faster than Windows Explorer on Win 7/64 bit.
