Can anybody help me unbrick my phone? I use a Mac, had already rooted successfully using CWM, and was trying to flash the Slim Jelly Bean ROM. However, I didn't make a backup, and my phone has been stuck at the Google logo for maybe half an hour. I've Googled incessantly and have found nothing. I can't get into the phone (except Recovery mode), and have no backup on my computer to fall back on. Can anybody help? Thanks....

I had a similar issue after flashing a ROM and was able to fix it by clearing cache and also davlik cache.

Thanks, hadn't tried clearing the davlik cache. However, I've done what you said and it's again stuck at the Google logo, for about 10 minute so far. Do I need to continue waiting?

First things first. If you can get into the recovery program your phone isn't bricked. You just need to get to a Windows PC. Download the ROM and gapps you want to the PC. Then you can move the appropriate zip files for the ROM you want to load along with the gapps zip file from the PC to the phone. Then you can install them from within CWM.

You can still use the mac. Put the phone in recovery mode and connect to cpu with usb cable.

Download the rom and the gapps all over again to the computer. Check the md5 to make sure you got complete, uncorrupted files.

Put the rom and the gapps .zip files in the same folder as adb and fastboot (.exe).

Using terminal, navigate (cd) to the folder that contains adb and fastboot and the rom/gapps files.

then use the following command to push the files to the phone:

./adb push name of rom.zip /sdcard/name of rom.zip

./adb push name of gapps.zip /sdcard/name of gapps.zip

then wipe data, wipe cache, wipe dalvik, format system on the phone in recovery, and flash the new files in recovery, then reboot.
