Can't tether Microsoft surface pro with euroskank cm 10.1

Hi all,

Any idea why I can't WiFi tether my galaxy nexus with my Microsoft surface pro? I keep getting a connection but shows limited connectivity and thus no internet. Is this a problem with windows 8? I can get my nexus 7 to connect without a problem. Something tells me it has something to do with windows 8.

I'm using the native WiFi AP that came with euroskank cm 10.1 by the way. Also tried muzzy ROM and also no luck.

Any help would be much appreciated!
