    Default Very underqualified

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this thread, but oh well.

So I thought I was ready for rooting, and it turns out that it is way over my head. A month back, I tried rooting my Galaxy Nexus, and I think I ruined it beyond repair. When I turn the phone on, the Google logo displays and it doesn't get any further into the booting process.

Since then, I found another on Craigslist, but I've been very hesitant about trying the rooting process again. Just thought I'd share my story, maybe someone can help me out next time I try.

Factory Image Restore.. We have a guide for it. You can't brick a Nexus.

Right and when you get done fixing your old phone, you'll have a better understanding of the whole rooting and rom'ing process. Once you do it successfully a few times you'll be more comfortable. An added bonus is that after you fix the old one, you'll have a backup or you can put it on craigslist and sell it!

I couldn't find the Rooting thread in the Sprint forum, is it the same as the Verizon one?

Instructions are basically the same yes. Make sure you use the factory image for the Sprint Gnex (toroplus), found here: https://developers.google.com/androi...mages#mysidspr

You may want to check my Factory Image Restore for the Nexus 4 guide as well (link in my signature), as it's been written and updated a bit more recently that our Gnex guide I believe. When inputting the commands just make sure you enter them for the filenames that match the toroplus image you download, not as written for the other phones... but the general format and process is the same for Nexus devices.
