What? I am hardly unhappy. I'm coming from the Original Droid! So I guess I'm biased to say that anything at this point will be better than what I have.

What are you seriously disappointed in? These are just rumors still, don't get bummed on something that isn't official yet.

Yeah I know... I'm just annoyed because I really wanted the galaxy s2. For some reason Verizon never adopted it and the European version still seems better than these specs.. alas these are rumors and ultimately you're right.

Dramatic much? The specs, 1st or 2nd released in no way "suck". This phone isn't going to cure cancer or anything, but I'm sure it's going to be very capable, and a very nice phone.

To stay on task, this is what I think will be released.

I think my 10 year old daughter is more excited for me to get the Nexus Prime than I am. I promised her my original Droid when I get it. ;)

Pretty much hope it is this, but think it'll have the OMAP4460.

Ok, I would almost bet money on these: (actually, I would for sure...)

DROID PRIME

Screen: 4.65" Super AMOLED Plus 720p
Processor: 1.5Ghz Dual Core Exynos Processor
Camera: 8mp rear shooter with 2mp front shooter
Battery: 1850mah
Storage: 32GB internal
LTE: Yes
NFC: Absolutely

Bam. I'm pretty sure that's gonna be it. Hope its correct! I frankly don't care if its a bit less powerful, it's still going to be an amazing device.

In light of new rumors and even more unfounded speculation, here is my final prediction. I think there may be two variants, the multi-carrier Nexus "world phone," known as the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, and the Verizon variant, and NOT a true Nexus, called the Droid Prime.

Name: Samsung Galaxy Nexus
ICS: Yes! (True Nexus)
Screen: 4.65" Super AMOLED HD
Processor: (Downclocked) 1.2Ghz Dual Core Exynos 4212 Processor (But very overclock friendly)
Camera: 5 mp (With top of the line camera sensors)
Battery: 1850 mAh
Storage: 32GB built in, no SD slot
NFC: Yes
LTE: No
Release Date: Early December

Name: Samsung Droid Prime (Mostly based on the Galaxy S II LTE HD)
ICS: Yes, TouchWiz free! But will not get Nexus-fast updates.. (Think OG Droid)
Screen: 4.65" Super AMOLED HD
Processor: 1.5 GHz Ti OMAP 4460
Camera: 8MP
Battery: 1850 mAh
Storage: 16GB built in, with SD slot
NFC: Yes
LTE: Yes
Release Date: November 3

Damnit those are MY guesses! Oh well. Actually, I'll modify that a bit. I think both phones will come with the OMAP 4460 at 1.5ghz, both will have a 5mp camera, 32gb built in with no SD slot, but I think the Verizon version will be called the Droid Prime and will actually be a Nexus phone (in that it gets updates quick and is bloat-free).

Oh and release date of Nov 3, but announcement date of Oct 25th.

Can we share the prize when we win?

Name: Samsung Galaxy Nexus Droid Prime Esquire
Screen: 4.65" Super AMOLED HD
Processor: TI OMAP 4460 clocked at 1.2
Memory: 1 Gb
Camera: 5
Battery: 1750
Storage: 32 internal
NFC: Yes
LTE: Yes
Release Date: November 17 on Verizon

Not the specs i hoped for. Ideally i would like it to be the first quad core device as well as a significantly improved battery.

I'm sure we will see quads sometime next year, and that will make all of us very sad for jumping on an awesome phone now. One can say it is always this way, wait two months a better phone is out. however i think the jump from dual to quad is and will be significant.

Also is it just me, or will battery technology EVER catch up with the rest?
