Re: ICS: Vanilla vs Custom
I think it depends on why you go custom, I do it for the speed increase over stock on the NS4G. I'll wait until I get my hands on the phone and then I'll decide. If you do it for a tweaked UX/UI then you probably have enough to go on at this point.
Remember too that you won't have a choice if you pick this thing up a launch time, it'll take at best a week or two before you see something come out that's stable enough for daily use. - 10-07-2011, 07:44 AM #4
Re: ICS: Vanilla vs Custom
Ill probably stick to stock until cm8 is ready and stable. The status bar Widgets are too good to not have.

Re: ICS: Vanilla vs Custom
I actually like the look of it. And since I don't root/ROM, whatever phone I purchase will have to be great stock. This phone looks like it's going to be great for me.

Re: ICS: Vanilla vs Custom
I will have to play with some of the stock apps first, if I want the phone but dislike them I may flash something like MIUI if it comes to the device.
Like the stock android camera app. I think the older versions are utterly terrible, and I really hope Google has taken a note from HTC in that regard. - 10-07-2011, 01:25 PM #10
