Found this here and wanted to share, coupled with my thoughts. Big thanks to Alexandru Dumitru for this awesome comparison.
The Galaxy Nexus has gotten a lot of flack from several websites out there for not having the "Plus" feature (RGB) like the Galaxy S II which has the Super AMOLED Plus screen. It was very interesting to see a very good comparison of the GSII's screen vs the Galaxy Nexus' screen, the HD Super AMOLED.
My Observations and Comments:
- I noticed that blacks look much better on the G-Nex's screen. In direct comparison, the SGII's black almost have a greenish and sometimes brownish tint to them. The touted "industry's highest contrast ratio at 100000:1" really shines through here on the G-Nex. Blacks look blacker and whites look whiter on the G-Nex.
- thanks to the high contrast ratio, text looks slightly clearer and sharper on the G-Nex. i'm sure this in combination with the new font, Roboto, and text will look even sharper.
- on some of the photos, i noticed a slight horizontal pattern overlay on the SGII's screen, when the G-Nex's screen didn't have such a pattern. maybe it was just the viewing angle.
this comparison helped to relieve some of my concerns with the pentile technology on the G-Nex. obviously, the HD high resolution (1280x720), which allows for that high PPI count of 316, really helps to alleviate any concerns of the Pentile matrix. the RBGW (the addition of the white) pattern really brightens up the screen on the G-Nex and brightens up images. this in combination with the high 100000:1 contrast ratio, and colors look exactly like they were meant to. don't get me wrong though, the screen on the SGSII is amazing. but it's good to see that the G-Nex's screen, even with that ridiculed pentile technology, will also be amazing, if not a little better, thanks to the (HD) high 1280x720 resolution and high PPI.

Notice the horizontal pattern overlay on the SGSII's screen, which isn't visible on the G-Nex's screen.
Galaxy Nexus on top / Galaxy S II on bottom
Text looks noticeably sharper on the G-Nex.

This image shows where blacks look much "blacker" on the G-Nex vs the SGSII
