Tried Razr Going Back To My Charge Til Nexus Comes
Why because of the mobile hotspot.
U see I have the 10.1 tab and I bought a mmo rpg called Order and Chaos by Gameloft.
On the DC using my mobile hotspot I was able to connect. When using the Razr it wouldnt connect. The game just hung. It qorked well when browsing. But when it came tto what I would have uswd it most for it was a no goAKA TrendyProfessional1

Maybe there was a problem with the network or the fact that you shouldn't be tethering? Do you have a tethering plan or do you illegally tether?

Re: Tried Razr Going Back To My Charge Til Nexus Comes
I am enjoying my razr, it is smooth fast and the UI is very close to stock 2.3. If the GN is released before my 14 day exchange period ends I will get it, if it is not I will not lose any sleep over it.
I do have two complaints about the razr, 1 the screen does have a green tint when brightness is set to low, 2 it is too thin, I don't know how to explain it just doesn't feel natural to hold. I believe I will eventually get used to the thinness, if I keep the phone. - 11-13-2011, 12:30 PM #6

I liked the Razr but it felt too light and too thin. I could see myself taking it out of my pocket and throwing it on accident. I know I'll be happier with a Nexus device so I'll wait.

I don't like the idea that the RAZR doesn't have a removable battery. Currently I have to pull my battery a few times a week to fix things on my Fascinate. MOstly the camera locking up. Not sure how you do that on a RAZR (or iPhone for that matter)

Re: Tried Razr Going Back To My Charge Til Nexus Comes
I played with the razor at the store, it seemed nice but the non- removable battery was a deal breaker for me. With 3 new android phones (razor, rezound, nexus) in like 3 weeks this is definitely a good time to have an upgrade available.

Re: Tried Razr Going Back To My Charge Til Nexus Comes
I hear a lot of talk about the razr even before it launched. Why don't I hear much about the Rezound? Did the Tbolt leave a sour taste in peoples mouths?

Re: Tried Razr Going Back To My Charge Til Nexus Comes
My Incredible has had terrible battery life from day one, the not enough space for apps message has never been fixed or had a work around published. The gingerbread update went out partially and was stopped. I got it and the phone still says it has a different screen than it really has. Ya, I really, really want to buy another HTC product.

Re: Tried Razr Going Back To My Charge Til Nexus Comes
I don't understand how people see a non-removable battery as a deal breaker, but are totally fine with non-removable storage. I feel like people are just creating excuses as to why other phones aren't as good as their precious Nexus, and when they get the phone they are going to pass off the defects and put it on a pedestal.
They've been holding out so long that they are blind to anything but the Nexus. It's a shame. What on earth does the Nexus have over the competition anyway? ICS? Whoop-de-doo. ICS is coming to the other big devices (which are equally if not superior to the Nexus in terms of build quality and specs) in a very short amount of time. Granted, it is stock Android, but with the skins coming so close to stock it terms of customization, and what they customize actually ADDS to stock.
Personally I'm going to be getting the RAZR, and while it may have shortcomings over the Nexus/Rezound (see screen resolution), there's no need to dismiss it for stupid reasons such as non-removable battery or "tethering issues" or it being "too wide". It's a great time to have an upgrade because we have 3 fantastic choices, each one with a choice audience. RAZR is an all around fantastic phone which appeals to the masses, Rezound appeals to audiophiles, and the Nexus appeals to people who just can't wait for their software upgrades. Honestly, do you really notice THAT much a difference in screen resolution from RAZR to Nexus? - 11-13-2011, 10:43 PM #22

Re: Tried Razr Going Back To My Charge Til Nexus Comes
1) Yeah, the screen will be noticeably different.
2). It's not a deal breaker for me, but I don't think it's a "created" problem. A lot of people are power users, and depend on the security of having a second battery with them. No reason to blame them - some people need a phone to last them longer than a single charge of a stock battery will let them.
And the Nexus has a lot going for it. Firstly, updates will be pushed to this phone in a prompt manner - there won't be much waiting. It will also have a huge dev following and likely will also have a lot of ROM support. - 11-13-2011, 10:48 PM #24
Re: Tried Razr Going Back To My Charge Til Nexus Comes
The appeal of a nexus isn't ics, although it does serve as the face of it for now. By the time these other devices get ics we will be anticipating 4.5 which will appear on the nexus first and owners of other devices that just got up to date will have to wait, even longer this time as each OEM will have their new flagship devices.

Re: Tried Razr Going Back To My Charge Til Nexus Comes
Kind of like how the Nexus S is most likely on the same time table as other devices for ICS? It will be first to get the first few updates, but after a while when Google has a new flagship, you'll be waiting like the rest of them. And ROM support? What does that bring to the table?
