Nexus Delay and DoubleData

So. My Contract with Sprint is up and I'm jumping to Verizon (story for another day). I was holding on to Hope that The Nexus will really be out by next week and I could also hop on the DoubleData Bandwagon and everything would be peaches and cream.....

NOW with the Nexus Delay I'm wondering if DoubleData will still be around... I mean we don't even have a date now. Frankly I'm not sure I would be able to survive with my kind of data useage without DoubleData, it really came at the PERFECT time.

So I'm thinking about getting the Rezound. I had the Hero, now the EVO, so I don't have any problems with Sense (even though I do think 3.5 is a bit bloated) . . . The specs are pretty fantastic. No a fan of blur at all so the Rzr is out of the question...


So I'm just wondering what you guys think? Do you think the DoubleData promo will last throughout the delay?

AFAIK, double data is until mid? January.

Seems that a few people have been told it'd carry over into at least January, so you should be good assuming Verizon is correct and the Nexus launches before the end of the year.

Either way, I'm pretty sure you could just open a contract with a Razr or Rezound then return it later for a Nexus right? As long as it's within 30 days or something, and I don't see the Nexus releasing that late.

A few people in the twitter world have been saying the same thing... folks that are known to have connections... I know its not 100% but these are the people with the leaks... I'm just trying to make sure I don't miss DoubleData lol

Well I guess that Link Answers that for me.... I can get My DoubleData and Give any phone a RUN Until January 9th!!!.... So If the Nexus pops up in time I'll just switch!

I don't care what contracts P3 or anyone else has.... The Galaxy Nexus can't be delayed because it was never announced with a launch date!

This is exactly what I would recommend, except its a week not a month. Talk to V or look up when double data ends, get the Rezound on that day, then swap when the GNex is out.

all i have to say is good luck with the rezound. its slightly modified thunderbolt with same lte radio that is junk. htc phones are just to bloated. and for every one bashing P3 i bet youll be using one of his kernels and roms most people do.

I'm actually quite content with my BAMF'd Thunderbolt. LTE holds strong with no complaints. If I didn't already have a Thunderbolt, I'd probably be tempted by a Thunderbolt on steroids but a) I don't really see anything game changing, b) still subpar battery size and c) although I do like Sense, I want stock ICS without having to worry about a developer having to fix everything.
