is Verizon violating FCC rules with Galaxy Nexus?
So, I guess I'll throw this out here. Didn't the 700 mhz spectrum come with rules that Verizon couldn't restrict certain things on their LTE network?
I guess the only thing I can think of is since Google/Samsung are working with Verizon to release the phone, said restrictions aren't in play.
I think if Google went with the old google.com/phone they *should* have been able to release the nexus without *any* vzw bloat. - 11-20-2011, 11:33 AM #2

What do you have in mind when you refer to restrictions?

bloat has nothing to do with restrictions from fcc.

I think you and VZ may be missing something. We may be a tiny percent, but I'll bet most of us are the go to people in our families and our businesses for tech advice. I'm self employed IT, but my extended family asks me for advice as well as my clients.
So while we may be a tiny percent, we advise a much larger group. - 11-20-2011, 01:51 PM #9

I know that people are reaching for things to complain about, but this is just getting more and more ridiculous.

Re: is Verizon violating FCC rules with Galaxy Nexus?
Ive heard the Nexus 1 and the Nexus S had a bit of carrier bloat.. Is this true? Like twitter and such tacked in... Not owning either device and a long term Verizon guy i cannot verify this... The only thing i see thats been violated by Verizon is me... :-( like a prison rape scene i might add... How dare the tea taxing British get this device before us... 1776 FTW!!!

Re: is Verizon violating FCC rules with Galaxy Nexus?
I had read that about the bloat on the Android forums on the VZW site earlier. Then its not a true Nexus is it... As long as the updates come from Google ill be content.. Hopefuly they havent made to many deals with the devil...
