I think its a U.S based company, if a contestant wins, they have the ability to choose from the GSM or Verizon's LTE version

By default they will send GSM model + us charger, but will send Verizon model when available to Verizon customer if they win. Pretty cool of them, except their spit all ideas of a $50 raffle for chance to win 300 devices.

The company is based out of USA, but ships everywhere.

I went to the Verizon corporate store this afternoon and talked to the manager for a few minutes as he was the "greeter" and checking people in. While there was a lull, I told him I was interested in the Nexus and asked if he know anything about it. He said he couldn't wait for that phone either as he was going to get one for himself. He directly told me it was supposed to have been released today to take advantage of Black Friday. He said it was delayed due to "some problems." I asked him if he has heard about the December 8th release and of course he would not commit but said that was possible.

Not trying to stir anything up or be a troll......this is my first post here. I have worked with this manager before as I've been getting all my phones and supplies from this store for several years. I don't see any reason he would lie, especially in saying there were problems if there weren't. Hopefully just some minor software issue as it couldn't be that much or we wouldn't be on track to release it on the 8th.

The conflict was releasing a phone that people would buy today instead of the RAZR or Rezound. I'd love to see VZW's numbers from today just out of curiosity. I'm wondering how they did.

I don't think that's a true statement. If they could had released it as planned they would. If there is an issue they want it fixed first

Sorry to derail the thread, but discussing the GN is sooooooooo last month.

Tough decision! I've had a S&W M&P 15 MOE (M4) for a few years and I love it. I had to get the M1A to continue my historical collection (1903 Springfield -> M1 Garand -> M1A/M14 -> AR-15/M4). I think that rifle lineage is fairly complete now (maybe you could argue for the inclusion of a AR-15/M16). Next on the list, a 1911 (ugh, yet another caliber to reload).

Oh, and I still kinda want the GN.

The same sister-in-law told her that the phone was "on schedule" to arrive in the first week of November, that they were taking shipments on them in the second week, and that they hadn't even heard anything about training on it as late as this morning.

So it probably doesn't mean anything at all. I just realized that I was getting phone info from my f-buddy's s-i-l, and don't recall anyone quoting a source from that combination before.
