What a waste of time that was. They did a stupid speed test on MiFi and that was it.

It is hard for them to do anything more when the store has the battery glued in and does not have sim cards in the phone to really test it out.

I would have liked a review of the UI/the rest of the OS. I don't even care about the size of the phone or the battery. Just the OS it runs on.

I would have liked to see a side profile to see the thickness. Is it going to be thinner than the Charge?

Look up the Galaxy Nexus (GSM) on Youtube. It's the exact same software. The only different people are looking at were the two "bloatware" apps, LTE speeds and a confirmation of a launch next week. Seems that's what we got (sorta).

You can find that on the gsm version with any review, as it is the same UI and OS.

It's thinner than the Charge, yes. Also the GSM and LTE comparisons over at show the LTE version is noticeably thicker and the curve is less pronounced. This doesn't bother me, but I really like the curvyness of the Galaxy Nexus -- it gave it more character. I'll live though and I'm sure others will, too.

the lte version is .5mm thicker, I would not call that noticeably thicker by any means.

I just read the Engadget GSM review. There are quite a few size and thickness comparisons. Looks very nice. I thought the charge was thick coming from the fascinate but it does not bother me now. The Nexus is a long phone though. I would love to hold one

the nexus is also thinner than the fascinate and I think at least IMO that the fascinate is plenty thin.

For exact specs:

The Galaxy Nexus is 9.47mm at it's thinnest point (the top of the phone)

The Droid Charge is 11.7mm at it's thinnest point (the top of the phone)

Thus, the Galaxy Nexus is thinner than the Droid Charge by 2.23mm. That's quite a bit thinner.

I'm sure if this was as heavy and big as a tbolt I would get it just because its a nexus.

I believe the .5mm difference in thickness that was being referred to was between the LTE Nexus and GSM Nexus.

I am looking forward to my first Nexus but I just want to know as much as I can about it. Not going to blindly buy a phone because it says Nexus.

Razor won't happen for me as I need a removable battery. The thinner it is, the better it will look with the extended battery. There were specs of an extended battery that did not add much girth at all. Add all of that with ICS and maybe this phone will last the full 2 year contract ... LOL

I would buy a nexus blindly lol maybe... well its not completely thick like a tbolt or so. Not heavier also.

I'm looking into extended battery since I got used to my Droid with one but I don't know if I would on this ssince its so sexy already and has a decent battery on it. Unless a extended batt that's slim then yea.

That's a terrible idea, if they didn't have any reasons to complain. What would they do w/ themselves?
I think it's comical when a few mm is a turn off to some people but I find it absolutely hysterical when the complaints surround, fractional values of a single mm.

You can easily see the thickness difference between the two. But I don't consider it a big deal either, especially considering I never held the GSM version

You also have to figure that most would never hold the gsm version to know the difference though. I look at it this way, it is thinner than my fascinate which is plenty thin IMO.
