Hello everyone I just switched to a galaxy nexus on verizon from sprint and of course installed google voice. Now it appears I can not text anyone from google voice at all using my number that I switched over. That number was perviously integrated with my google voice number. Any suggestions, or does verizon not allow texting through google voice? Before I forget I did not get a texting plan specifically because I wanted to use google voice. Now then should I just port my number using the google voice number porter I just want to keep the same number and text people through the app

I can't speak for your unique situation, but I do use GV to text some of my friends that I know from the internet. They text my GV number and it works fine, I text back. I have not used it for phone calls, but I am pretty sure that it works fine.

Did you undo the Sprint Google Voice integration? I am also switching from Sprint and I plan to undo that before I do anything today (I get my GN today).
