    Default Call Quality

Anybody else getting distortion, crackling, popping, occasional squeks while on a call? Its happening on calls from on cellular or land lines. It could be a VZN thing or tower. Im going for a drive and will see its a tower thing. Hopefully a tempory thing it makes my ear hurt!! Fyi..in cdma only mode.

Edit: no blue tooth and its only on received calls, outgoing are crystal clear

I have not experienced any issues with call quality. Sounds like maybe you got a lemon?

CDMA only here as well. Not having those issues at all. In fact the call quality is so good it sounds like the person is standing there talking to me. WAY better than my Incredible's call quality and it wasn't overly horrible.
The Storm has cleared to an Incredible day! I ate an IceCream Sandwhich. Still needed JellyBeans. ;-)

I was getting those yesterday - see Issues with Bluetooth and/or Jawbone Icon headset on Nexus. Since then, i've rebooted the phone, and done a hard reset of the headset, and somewhere in there, the pops and crackles seem to have gone away.

Are you using BT? wired headset? just the handset?

Yes! It seemed to happen on longer calls, around the 12 minute mark. It sounded like the person I was talking to was at WalMart scanning items there was so much beeping. I've made a few calls with my GNex before but none were as long as this one. How long were your calls?

Same thing here. On 3 calls in a row the phone would go crazy and start fluctuating the volume and finally degenerate into a bunch of loud squeals and pops. Tried another phone to the same number (while rebooting the SGN) with no problems. Then called back and same problem again. I hope it was a fluke!

I don't have a Galaxy Nexus but I do have a Samsung Droid Charge and it does that from time to time. I usually have to pull the phone from my ear as fast as I can and hang it up.

Both incoming and outgoing calls very poor quality - broken distorted voice - difficult to understand as if the call is hanging onto 0-1 Bar of reception. Signal strength is 100 to mostly 120dBm 99 asu

Will a hard reset improve the quality? If so, how do we do a hard reset?
