Default google calendar says account already on phone

When I try to go into google calendar, I click add account. Select google. It asks me to sign in and put in my gmail information. It then pops us and says account already exists.
Ther eis already a blahblahblah2gmail.com account on this android device.

Well, I assumed it meant that everything was working. So I logged into google calendar on the PC and put an event in. Waited a few and it doesn't appear on the phone.

So I went to the phone and tried to add and event and it says you must add an account. Duh..I tried that..

    Any ideas?

Try going to the options menu in the calendar and pick the "calendars to display", select the gmail account.

I had that problem and solved it by just signing in on the browser version. Hope that helps!

I had the exact same issue.

Go to "accounts/sync" delete your google account and re-add it. Calendar synced right up for me. Took 2 seconds to do...

    Hope this helps!!!
