Did you get an email for the GN release?

We all signed up on VZW with our e-mails waiting for the release news of this phone.

Sign up and be, "one of the first ones to received the Galaxy Nexus". Then one Dec where there was still no official release date that representative repeated, sign up online to get the latest news when it comes out.

Now when it went live in the middle of the night, maybe you guys all did, but I go zero correspondence (besides the original, thank you for signing up e-mail) from them. Where was the exclusivity for signing up. Worse of all, IMO, is why was their PR rep still telling people to sign up if they had no intention of that doing anything.

I mean, I got my phone and all and love it and yes they can get us with a technicality saying it was never delayed, but that whole sign up thing was flubbed. Give us a coupon or something.

The emails always arrive late. I'm pretty sure they only used that to get more people's emails. After a few weeks we'll get the email.

I got the email yesterday, a day after I bought the phone.

I got one the day it was released also, but I don't remember what time.

at least some of you did, but how does an e-mail make you "one of the first" to receive the phone? makes no sense.

For the Bionic, I didn't receive the email notification of its released until roughly a week after.

The email was to be one of the first to know, not receive... you can't receive a phone from an email.

I signed up for a Razr email and got one the day before it was available for pre-order telling me I could order it the next day.

i recieved the email at 1:05am on dec 15th.

I didn't think I got it, but I double checked - sure enough, I got an email from Verizon on Dec 15 at 12:53 AM: "ANDROID JUST BECAME
A LITTLE MORE HUMAN.

Got another email from Samsung at 4AM: "The new Galaxy Nexus by Samsung is here"

Since I was on the forums that day and already "knew" about the release, I probably just dismissed the emails when they came in.
