Do you mean silent mode or vibrate mode? They're not the same in my opinion.

But, you have both on the Nexus. Hold the Volume 'Down' button and you can switch to vibrate mode before silent mode which you won't hear or feel the phone if you have an incoming call.

Good thing if you're in a company meeting and don't want to hear your phone vibrate. lol.
