Full Screen web browsing (no soft buttons)
Hi Gang,
Please forgive me for the new thread. I realize this has been brought up as part of other threads already but I would like converse about the specifics and possibilities of a full 4.65" browsing experience.
I'm wondering is if anyone has found a browser that supports full screen web browsing with no soft buttons. Of course I knew before I bought my GN that my browsing would be at 4.3", and I'm fine with that, but I'm wondering if anyone has figured out a way to use the full 4.65" for browsing. Is it possible to achieve this with a custom ROM etc?
Thanks for any input!

On the stock browser, if you go into settings and then to labs, u should get the option to go full screen.

Re: Full Screen web browsing (no soft buttons)
Racedog is exactly right. When using the video player you get full screen with no soft buttons. However, when using a web browser, the soft buttons stay on the screen and even turn into little dots, but even then you are still only getting a 4.3" screen for browsing.
The Labs feature will get rid of the address bar etc but will not remove the soft buttons, which are taking up .35" of screen real estate. - 12-20-2011, 03:20 PM #9

Re: Full Screen web browsing (no soft buttons)
Noticed somebody in the post your homepage thread already customized the buttons. Since they are soft buttons there is little doubt that a developer won't find a way to make them hide whenever you want them too. Why would they only be able to for video...? In do time friends
