Alerts/ Notifications

I want to have a different alert sound for each type of message. I want one for emails, one for texts, one for my alarm. this is a very simple request i would think but i can only see how to choose one for a ringtone and one for all other message types. im finding this information under settings then sounds. is this really not a function of this 300 dollar phone?

You can set the alert sound by checking the settings in each specific app.

The way I did it was I set the default notification app to what I wanted for gmail. Then I went into GoSMS and set that for text messages. Then I went into my alarm clock and set that independently. It WOULD be nice to have 3 options, but alas, there isn't.

So far I'm running TouchDown Exchange, GMail, and Stock Messenger. I have 3 separate notification sounds for each.

As everyone said just go in the settings of the apps and change it. Email, gmail, sms, voice, talk, +, can all have a custom sound and then you can have a default sound for whatever else.
