Phone has been activated for 16 hrs... just had another reboot

Ok, I am beginning to realize why I left Android in the first place.

I have now had 3 random restarts/reboots since I activated this phone 16 hrs ago.

This time I am just sitting here typing on my laptop and look over and there is the google logo followed by the boot sequence....... grrrr

Is this a known issue with this phone?

I have seen many threads about this, but most of the time it has only occurred once for a majority of the people (Judging by the posts I have read).

It happened to me the day after I got the phone, It has yet to do it again.

I never had a forced reboot since I got the phone last Friday.

I had this issue as well. Was caused by Trillian. I replaced it with IMO and haven't had an issue since.

Only thing I can think of is try troubleshooting at the app level. Any of them run in the background?

Now at exactly 1 week of SGN ownership and report Zero forced reboots.
Unlocked bootloader / not rooted, running only pretty well established apps.

My guess is you may have an app that is not fully compatible with ICS. This happend lots to me when I firtst got my Xoom. This is just a part of buying early. Give the device some time it will work itself out.

By the way -- One of the besc Cigars I ever smoked was the OpusX!!!!!! Love your screen name.

I haven't had any random reboots, and I have had it since Verizon opened the morning it went on sale. Something's not right -- either the phone, which means it would need to be exchanged, or an app on it.

Mine rebooted three times in two days, but hasn't done it since. It just kinda went away. It might have stopped after I uninstalled all the apps meant for a rooted phone, as I haven't rooted yet. Not sure though.

No issues with this phone at all but I had to return 3 more to get it just right.

Return it and get a new one. I think the quality control on these was not the best.

Strange choice in phones if you left android cause of bugginess to pick one with a new os and rumored to potentially be buggy....

I'd suggest start listing your apps with other users with the same problem and see if you all have a certain app in common. Or factory reset and upload one app at a time.
