    Default Facebook application on GNEX

Hey guys, I'd first like to say this is my first post on this forum so go easy on me!

I purchased the GNEX from Verizon two days ago. Since, I've been personalizing the phone to my needs, etc. I noticed however that when I get a notification through facebook, that says for instance: "Joe Shmo commented on one of your photos" well when I click on the notification to view the comments, it brings me up to the photo, and somehow I can't view the comments. I've dried diving into the settings, but nothing is available. Can anyone help me? Thanks..

I haven't noticed that. Usually if its a photo you have to tap the screen and a menu pops up to let you see comments and likes.

What I have run into is that I get status bar notifications and when I click on them it takes me to the Facebook app and opens my notifications menu and the new notification isn't there.

    Welcome to the forums!

Once you click on the notification it takes you to the picture. If you click on the picture an option on the bottom will appear that says comment. Once you click on this, it'll take you to the comments.

    Enjoy your Galaxy Nexus!

At least you get that. I click on the notification and it doesn't show anything. The notification stays on the bar until I open Facebook and manually open it. Not real happy with Facebook on this phone right now.

I remember this happening on my T-bolt. Its Facebook, not the phone.

Ah! Thanks for the responses. I noticed that when i double tap the photos, a screen at the bottom pops up with the comments and likes. But I have the same problem with the notifications not showing when I open Facebook. Usually I have to click "refresh more" or something like that. Either way, coming from the Blackberrt Storm 2, this thing is golden!

Not sure if it is still the case but I remember using facebook.com in the default browser is better than using facebook app.

Is this still the case? Should I install facebook app or just continue to use facebook.com

Got my Nexus last weekend, Facebook notifications have never turned into Android notifications on it. Google+ notifications don't always work for me either. Notifications always work for Market, Gmail, IM+, Handcent, etc.
