At a glance there is no noticeable difference. Upon closer inspection it pretty much changes in only expanding outward slightly to eliminate the dip.

My Otterbox commuter fits snugly with the extended battery installed.

No. The bottom does not snap on. I was very sad and returned mine. Re: the kick stand case
