Volume and Audio settings?

I use my phone a lot for music and voice calls so I'm often using the speaker, headphones or Bluetooth. What I've noticed is that regardless of the output device my volume is static meaning if I had if full blast on BT, it's still full bast if I plug headphones in it. My old phone would use the last known volume in the mode that I'm using. So I last used level 3 with headphones, 8 with BT and 10 on speaker, that's the level it will revert to in those modes the next time I use them.

Is it possible to have this behavior in ICS?
