Is there any way to flip the on screen navigation buttons to the left side of the scree when browsing the web in landscape. Would make it much easier when reading the news while eating lunch!

Do you mean the URL bar and settings button? If you enable "Quick Controls" Settings>>Labs>>Enable Quick Controls, they will hide until you slide your thumb across the right or left of the screen.

If you mean the back/home/recent apps buttons, then I don't know if a way to switch them in landscape. They move from the bottom to the right for me.
