As I got out of my car last night, my phone had fallen and cracked, I do have Asurion insurance and have already filed a claim. What other options do I have? I bought the phone Christmas Eve and would still be under the 14-day return period.

You can call Verizon and ask, but I don't think that you can exchange/return an item that you've broken. Good thing you bought the insurance. This is the second story I've read here of a screen breaking when someone got out of their car. Out of curiosity, did you have a case on the phone, and if so, what case? I have the OtterBox defender and had the phone swept off my belt (onto the street) by someone while playing basketball. It took the fall with no damage at all.

Yes I did have a case on it, which is worst of all, not sure what kind, its the phone clip one that they sell at verizon. my friend was just telling me to cop the otterbox so once i get the new one, ima def cop the defender

Same thing happened to me, my local Verizon told me to call insurance and make a claim so I did, saying they couldn't do anything in store for a damaged phone.

I also had the exact same situation happen to me. I also have Asurion. Can you tell me how your claim went? I have heard some bad stories about them.
