Bookmark/hyperlink/shortcut to a local pdf on sd?

Is it possible to create a bookmark/hyperlink/shortcut to a local pdf on the Nexus' sd?

"Real" html bookmarks work fine, of course, but I just want a quick link to the 144-page US Soccer Laws of the Game pdf that I have downloaded.

I thought I could do this on the EVO (natively), but I can't figure out how to do so on the Nexus.

You can do this on HTC devices because they include a widget for it (the "shortcut" widgets). There is an app on the Market called Smart Shortcuts that should do what you want. I tried it when I was trying to find something to dive down into the settings with one click (ended up with Extended Controls -- which will not do what you want).
