What is the best way to transfer pics from the G-Nex to a desktop?

I don't think there is a best method.

You can use the usb cable, wifi, dropbox, etc.

Connect your phone with the USB cable to your PC. Copy and paste.

    Here are some more methods:

    1. If you have automatic backup turned on then all of your photos are backed up to your Google+ account. Go to Google+ and download them.

    2. If it's only a handful then you can email them to yourself.

    3. If your phone is on the same wifi network as your desktop you can install File Manager app by Rhythm Software and then use File Manager to a network share and copy/paste them to your desktop PC.

If it's just one or two pictures I use Bluetooth. I did it last night and it worked really well. Otherwise it doesn't really matter.

Hey TabGuy -- does File Manager see Windows 7 shares without SMB? I can't get any of the usual suspects (Astro, ES, etc) to nav to my Windows 7 machine on the same network over SMB because I don't have a password on my user account (and for whatever reason, SMB won't work without a password).

Yes it sees all of the windows shares without any additional software. However, all of my home PCs have user accounts and don't know if that makes a difference.

Thanks, I'll give it a shot! Been looking for something that will let me push/pull from/to the phone without having to go to the PC. Rigged it by using Splashtop plus Airdroid, but that's cumbersome. :-/

Use DropSnap to automatically upload any pictures you take on your GNex, regardless of what camera app you use, to Dropbox. Works great on ICS.
