    Default MTP is ridiculous.

I didnt think not having USB Mass Storage was going to be that big of a deal to me, but when I try to transfer 250 photos/videos from my Nexus to my PC with the explorer stalling out and eventually crashing is ridiculous. My Incredible 1 would take a fair amount of time to send all that over, but at least it actually got the job done. Im not really looking forward to trying to send them over in smaller groups.

Any solutions to this? I was trying to transfer it all over so I could attempt to unlock and root.

This was how someone else got it to work (it worked for others as well)...

I used this to transfer my 1600 pics/vids to my new nexus.

First, I created a folder on my desktop.
Transferred all my pics/vids to that folder.
Opened the folder, hit CTRL+A for select all.
Right click, highlight Send to, Galaxy Nexus.

After doing that, it creates its own folders on the nexus, and everything went perfect.

Once they are on the phone, use a file manager and move them to wherever you want.

(original thread here: I think i have a fix for the photo transfer to the nexus)
