    Default Just got my nexus!

Got my GNEX last night. Still reinstalling things but this phone is just incredible. I've had no issues so far. I'm on 3g but my data speeds are much faster than what was with my DINC2 . ICS is just beautiful. Any major apps I should get? I had my music on my SD card and used those for ringtones. I guess I can just Bluetooth them over to the GNEX? Thanks!

Get Volume+ and lightflow. I got the paid versions of both apps, but then again, I like to support the devs.

    **Edit**

Actually the V+ app is out there free from the dev himself, on his website. I remember there being a thread on the subject somewhere around here.

Get widget locker if you like having stuff on the lockscreen, andie graph if you dont like the stock calculator, my battery status to see the percentage in the status bar, and some people like nova launcher, but I don't. +1 for lightflow too

When you plug your GN into your pc, the file explorer window that pops up is essentially your sd card. You can copy all your ring tones and anything else there.

If you think you might root the phone, you should go ahead and unlock/root it now because it totally wipes your phone, including any thing you've copied to it's hard drive.

Enjoy the new phone, I know I have ever since I got it. Airdroid is a nice app for wireless access between the computer and the phone. Unified remote if you have a computer you use for media, this allows you to control certain programs wirelessly from the phone. Desktop visualizer and simple text if you want to make your own app shortcuts. Best thing to do overall is just unlock, root it, and install a custom ROM for a better experience over stock, plus it is fun to do.

sames. got it launch day at full retail (ouch!) but it really has been awesome. never liked a phone this much - and i loved the dinc (first smartphone and learning how to root - etc).

but the nexus is just out of control - for what i want at least - its huge but its light and doesnt feel unwieldy (shout out to my tbolt owners), screen is insane, ics is a huge improvement imo, etc.

couldnt be happier with this phone. thoughts of upgrading again are non-existant.

+3 on getting Volume + and lightflow. Widgetsoid is also a great app, put all your system needs (Sound, display, wifi hotpot, bluetooth etc..) in the drop down shade (notification) area. Super handy and quick. It just received an ICS specific update. Enjoy your gNex!

Just got mine on Friday and really enjoying it. of course I had to buy a battery because VZW seems to not understand that overnighting a phone and not overnighting a battery is a dumb thing.

Now to see if the extended battery is any good with only 250mah more than the standard. Wish AC online shop carried the Extended battery CONVERT case for the GNex.. as that would make my decision much easier

the extended battery should have been "standard" on this phone. Every extra mah helps, I'd get it.

I just got mine tonight! It's pretty fast. Signal disappeared on a call in the car on the way home, bummer. I used the phone at home to call several time, signal stayed. So, so far so good.

I'm glad I got it at the VZW store, since the sales guy pointed out my company discount, which is larger than my loyalty discount. Only my loyalty discount showed up in the VZW website.
