How Do I Get Google To Stop Automatically Signing Me In?
I did a factory reset and set my phone up again. The first time I opened the browser it went to google.com and I briefly saw it say on the screen that it signed me into all google services using my gmail account. I don't want that. I don't want google tracking me like that.
How do I get it so that I am not signed in automatically like that? - 02-08-2012, 07:42 AM #2

Are you saying that you don't want to sign into goolgle services while you are browsing? As a test, I saw that I was signed in. I just clicked the sign out link and now I'm signed out. Even after rebooting my phone, it didn't automatically sign me back in.
I always joke around that Apple is the Evil company, but Google is the Evil Empire. - 02-08-2012, 08:28 AM

LOL! Yes, I don't want to be signed into all of their services and have them collecting tons of data on me from who I send/receive email to/from to what I buy and read, etc. I can't even imagine all the data they have on all of us. I don't even want to think about what they do with it. Scary!

Everyone watches you now a days! Google, apple, your ISP. I have gotten to the point that I don't care what they do. I don't do anything that I need to hide.......oh and I bought an RC helicopter last night in case any of you were wondering :-)

Re: How Do I Get Google To Stop Automatically Signing Me In?
Now that I am thinking about it, I wouldn't want people to know how much time I **** away on forums like this especially when I complain to them about how busy I am and how I don't have any time to do anything for myself. If they knew, then they would know I am full of it and I prefer them to think I just lead a hectic but productive life, lol!
I especially wouldn't want anyone I know in real life to know how obsessed I am with my phone

Re: How Do I Get Google To Stop Automatically Signing Me In?
Everyone knows how obsessed I am. The other day someone asked me why I still had the phone I have because I bought it in December and it has almost been 2 months since I bought a phone......

Re: How Do I Get Google To Stop Automatically Signing Me In?
I don't know how a reset works but when I first got my phone the sign-in page appeared a I selected "SKIP" or "CONTINUE" can't remember the exact term, but I didn't sign in to anything.
The phone continued to boot and setup. Then I turned Sync off and continued to configure the phone for the services I wanted. The biggest thing may be to make sure Sync is off until you have configured the services you want to use.
Also we should all realize that even if Google doesn't track what we do our ISP provider can always provide the information if they are requested to do so. The have it, they can know it.
All of our Facebook posts, Google+ posts, Android Central posts, texting, sexting, pictures we view via the internet......email, our ISP provider records it and can disclose it. On a personal level they don't have time to be bothered with what one of their users is doing, unless they are asked for it by law and the judiciary, but criminals and the shady are always ready to take advantage of security holes. I was once billed for $2000 worth of itunes purchases in one month. How? Done by an iTunes app developer, so when I sign in to any online internet service I am now prepared for what this may mean.
