google goggles works fine for me. dont need anything fancy in a QR scanner

I use redlaser. It allows both QR and barcode scanning and saves scanned items to look at later. I've never tried goggles for barcodes or QR codes, might have to now.

I use for QR codes. It can also decode from saved images, or from the URL of the QR image (handy when you run across one in the mobile browser).

ZXING is maintained by Google devs and is open source. Very lightweight.

BTW, this reads every barcode I have thrown at it. Goggles and others fail at some barcodes. I have utilized this in some app testing I have been doing, so I am partial to it. This is easy to integrate into your own apps, also.
