HTC is throwing ICS on the Eris for crying out loud. So I think rooted phones have little need to worry about being stranded.
I'm not trying to argue in here, really. I really dig your phone, I'd own a GNex had they not released it prematurely. I just wanted to point out, your not quite as ICS exclusive as you clamor about, all the time. Thanks to Googles support of AOSP.
