So Which Keyboard You Rocking?
So there are a lot of keyboard out there on the market, lot of popular ones and not so popular ones. I was just curious about what the overall "feeling" was about the keyboard on your Galaxy Nexus. Right now I am rocking Swiftkey X with the Neon skin which looks awesome with ICS. Now that Swype is working on ICS I have been switching back and forth as well but still continuing to find myself go back to Swiftkey X. So whats your best keyboard that you constantly go back to using?

Re: So Which Keyboard You Rocking?
I agree if I had to pick a close second it would actually be the stock keyboard, it is MUCH improved from prior android OS keyboards.

I've tried a bunch of keyboards, including stock, Swype, FlexT9, Swiftkey, and Thumb Keyboard. I prefer Thumb Keyboard overall as I like using the split keyboard in landscape mode and the ability to customize the secondary characters on the keys.

Swype. Stock's great, though. Very easy to two-handed type on in landscape. Sometimes, it lags behind what I'm typing, though. Still catches what I've typed, but it moves slow.

The new Swype beta. Best keyboard ever (once you get used to it), best Swype ever, best voice to text using Dragon Go now...much more accurate than Google.

Re: So Which Keyboard You Rocking?
This is so true for me... most of the time when I am texting my GF, I would say 85% of the time I only need to type 1 or 2 words and the rest of the text is just clicking the prediction.
I must say that I LOVED Swype on my Samsung Fascinate and Bionic, only keyboard that I used and I am slowly starting to use it more and more on the Gnexus. Only reason that I would say I haven't used it so much now is because it took a while for it to come to the device that I got accustomed to Swiftkey. - 02-20-2012, 11:39 AM #17

Re: So Which Keyboard You Rocking?
Swype for sure. I loved it on all the motorola phones I had and really missed it on the nexus. However, I will say the new stock keyboard really helped the waiting period lol.

Re: So Which Keyboard You Rocking?
I love T9 but there's some bug with it and the GMail To: field. Drives.me.nuts.
Thank gawd Swype for ICS came out. I am a big fan of Swype on all my devices - CM7.1 on Nook, Honeycomb on my Transformer TF101 and now on my Nexus.
I complained to the T9 developers about my issues and their reply was simply, "Not compatible with ICS." Sigh. - 02-20-2012, 01:57 PM #23
Re: So Which Keyboard You Rocking?
I realize that Swiftkey X is faster, but I prefer Swype because I like to text one-handed in portrait, but whenever I go landscape, I prefer SwiftkeyX.

Re: So Which Keyboard You Rocking?
I've tested many keyboards, always looking for the fastest/most accurate input system. I usually use them 3-4wks straight before making a verdict.
What I found is FlexT9 is the best all around. It works just as good on a tablet as on a 4" phone. It has the best text prediction and is the fastest. The swype was even better than Swype, granted I have not tried the newest swype.
I do like using a keyboard and find that I sometimes switch to Swiftkey on my tablet. On my phone I use the Stock ICS keyboard.
(Note I've tested Swiftkey, Swype, Android Gingerbread, ICS, SlideIT, FlexT9, 8pen, Thumb Keyboard, AI.)
I really like AI but it's predictive text is not as good as FlexT9 or Swiftkey.
