How long have you had your phone?

I am on the leaked 4.0.4 and no it does not fix it. About 1/50 calls has it.

I get it time to time. Its really loud when it happens. I've dealt with it because I don't want to give up this phone!

A Verizon tech (level 2) told me today it should get fixed with a maintenance update the next two weeks.

Had it since day one... it won't happen for a couple of weeks and then twice in one day. As a matter of fact, today was a particularly bad day for phone conversations on my phone. two complete drops, one mic cut out, one loud squelch and a bunch of weird synthetic voice sounds.
I love the rest of this phone so much I am waiting to see if these phone issues get resolved with tweaks to the software and the network.

I'm sure its a good phone,but I use my phone alot and can't have that issue. For now I'm going with the rezound.

I've had my phone since the Dec. 13 release day and had not experienced this until recently.

Last week, my call dropped twice (at the other end) and caller reported screeching. I could not hear that and was able to hear the caller. Yesterday, I left a message; the caller got back to me and said only beginning of my message could be heard before screeching.

I am very happy with the phone, but this is concerning...

I am having the same issue... It's driving me nuts. So bad that I switched phones yesterday and went back to my 4s... 24 hours later I switched back. After having the GN for awhile now... I can't stand the iPhone anymore.

Ugh... I want the screeching to go away.

Supposedly Samsung will be trying to fix it with a software update for their hardware, but we all know how perfect those can be lol. To further clarify, the rep started listing known problems (i.e. audio-loss in call as well as other microphone problems) that Samsung has acknowledged and told me that there was a memo for the trouble tickets. Most of them were all correlated to the coming update listed for the beginning of March. He interpreted that as the first two weeks.
