I connected my GN to my car tonight and it flashed a quick message that disappeared after about a second. It read "background service not running or killed by android due to low resources. open the app once to ensure the apps presence"

I had to shut it down and reconnect a few times just to read the message. I reset the phone and BT but it still seems to pop up everytime I connect the two. The phone seems to be a little buggy once I open google music and stream to the car as it is the only time I have seen it freeze and reset since I bought it launch day. I stream some form of music or media every day through the bluetooth and tonight was the first time I have seen the message. Any thoughts?

I had the same problem today, and now seems to be resolved. The problem was being caused by the Total Recall app, excellent program, and has not previously caused a problem, assume there has been a recent update. Assuming you do not have this app would suggest you check all programs that use bluetooth and are possibly running in background.

This worked for me, hopefully it may work for you.

Confirmed: Total Recall 1.9.7 was installed but not running and I hadn't used it in a long time. I updated to 1.9.8b2 (released April 30, 2012), but the error message still appeared. I uninstalled Total Recall and the message does not appear.

Problem description: I never got this dialog before I started connecting 2 Bluetooth devices at once. In the car my phone connects to the built-in BT hands-free, and it connects to my Escort 9500ix radar detector. As the detector's Android app, called "Live!" (like Trapster or iRadar) started and the second BT connected, I would get this message a couple of times. I also got the message as the app exited. The app still linked to the detector via BT and operated normally; hands-free BT also operated normally.

HTC G2 (T-Mobile), with Android 2.3.4, Escort Live 1.05.
