Wallet Troubles
This was just posted on the front page, but the latest update is causing some issues with Wallet and prepaid cards. I know for me personally, I can't access my prepaid card any more, though I can access my transaction history. Hopefully this is just temporary and not google locking VZW Nexus users out of Wallet.
Anyone else experiencing issues? - 02-29-2012, 10:48 PM #2

Re: Wallet Troubles
Thanks for the info, I will not be updating this yet in that case.

Re: Wallet Troubles
Same here. I've got the same problem as Jerry has in his post.
"Prepaid is unavailable due to planned system upgrades"
It's been working great before today's update. Used it last night on my way home at Jack in the Box and noticed I was down to $4 on my prepaid card. Planned to ad another $50 to it last night but I'm glad I forgot. Once I applied today's update *poof* it's gone. - 03-01-2012, 04:24 AM #5
I upgraded to the newest version tonight via the market download. Until tonight i could not get the work around in the browser to work for me. Before this I was running the first version that was available from XDA with no issues. After the update I have not had a chance to actually use it, but I am not seeing the warning when looking at my card balance. (See attached photo) I'll report back if it still works but at this point I don't see any issues after updating.

Re: Wallet Troubles
I am rooted and have had the reported problems. I uninstalled Google Wallet, then restored the 1st version I had using My Backup Pro. Titanium backup works too. If you re-install the 1st version, presumably you have the APK and data backed up, it works perfectly. Still have the same amount of $ left on pre-paid card as I had before it stopped working. Hope this helps.

Re: Wallet Troubles
It seems as if you have a new issue and your user information has been blacked out. I think I can help, just pm me your credit card information and soc security info, will have you up and running in no time.

In all seriousness, if it does work, can you please also post the link where you found the apk? - 03-01-2012, 01:31 PM #8

Re: Wallet Troubles
I updated to the new version last night after I was prompted in the Market. I am able to see my prepay balance fine. In fact, I went to Rite Aid an hour ago and used Wallet fine. I am on the Verizon Galaxy Nexus. Its still working normally for me.

Re: Wallet Troubles
You installed prior to the security issue and Google taking the prepaid cards offline correct?
I think this is the issue. Anyone with Wallet prior to the security issue are fine. Those that have tried to add a new card or wiped and tried to reinstall after the security concern are having the issues. I was using Wallet since December as well but I unlocked my bootloader around the same time the security concerns came to light so when I went to set up Wallet again the prepaid card would not activate and I get the maintenance message. - 03-02-2012, 10:23 AM #18
Re: Wallet Troubles
Pardon my ignorance, but what does this app allow you to do at a store? I assume you first load a virtual card with money transferred from your bank accout or credit card (like Paypal). Then you open this app on your phone at a store. Then what happens?

My google wallet is working no problem. I updated wallet and still have my prepaid card as well. I just used wallet a few minutes ago with no issues. I'm on a Verizon nexus and not rooted. Am I lucky?

But does it still work? I think that is a warning about the effects of rooting.
