Did anyone ever figure out if the signal gets better with this update?

the signal won't be better unless the radios get updated. this doesn't happen with the released source code.

the 4.0.4 leak did include new radios, which did help signal a bit.

4.0.4 also DISPLAYS signal differently. so it appears to give better signal, wether that is in fact true or not...i doubt it. but i am getting a solid 2 bars of 4g where before i would get Zero to 1 bar 4g....so at the very least, it makes me feel slightly better about my signal...even if it is just a picture lying to me

I hear ya. I had the misfortune of having to flash back and forth, and I will say this--while it displays differently, the transition between WiFi and 4G seems much improved.
