Re: How many Galaxy Nexuses have you gone through?
To me, reading it like that, its about 1/2 had to exchange at least 1 time. 146 votes. 103, 1 phone - assume first and only phone. 46 more than 1 phone.
That not a minority. Assuming all 46 did it due to having a crappy phone. Not trying to say anything either way....it would determine how the poll was read, what each of the 46 was returned for.
EDIT: If we were talking strictly reception....reading thru the reasons I came up with at least 15 that didnt include reception. That would still be about 1/3. I guess 1/3 is still a minority tho. 31 out of 103. And we dont know what that 31 returned it for if they dont post and post why.
And for reception...where we live and spend most of our time would dictate if we see reception issues or not. Polling ppl where I live n work might be a majority for reception issues. Then...there may be folks like me. I didnt vote. I tried 1 G Nex, then went to another phone altogether. I didnt want to add my interpretation of what 1 meant. Like it was said before....does 1 mean your only 1 and no exchanges? Or does it mean you exchanged it once? lol
Yea...it all depends on how one reads the results.Last edited by jroc; 04-12-2012 at 07:15 AM.

Re: How many Galaxy Nexuses have you gone through?
My first one was ramdomly dialing #22899, about 4 times a day, which is a 3G roaming update. The tech said that it does something to the signal and 4G phones should never dial that number. The second one was perfect but wouldn't charge. The third one is doing fine but it is the third one in less than two weeks.

I can't really say what I think of the results. It really depends on who opens up this thread and chooses to vote. People who have had multiple phones may or may not stray away from this thread. I've had more than one Nexus, and I've gotta say it's pretty disappointing considering a lot of people apparently having no problems with their first Nexus.
It could just be coincidence that I've had multiple bad phones. It's good to see that the majority of people have only had one Nexus, though. - 04-13-2012, 04:49 AM #84

I'm still rocking mine I got the day it launched in Canada...I won it free through a Virgin Mobile giveaway. I took the obligatory pic, shook their hand, popped in the SIM from another carrier and walked out. Had problems with it rebooting initially but since 4.0.4 OTA update no problem whatsoever!

Re: How many Galaxy Nexuses have you gone through?
Considering that the majority of the posts are "OMG my phone is terrible why didn't I buy X," a 30% ratio is surprising.

Re: How many Galaxy Nexuses have you gone through?
Must say, it's kind of disappointing that only 60% of people in the poll still have their original Nexus. However, I should've asked people to vote on hardware malfunction/software (obviously on unrooted) problems, rather than accidents like liquid damage or drops, cracks, etc. I'm on my 5th Nexus (after the 4th one had 4G signal drop problems), and I'm really satisfied with this one. Hopefully nothing will go wrong.

On my second. First one (made in Korea) fell into some water, and would get stuck in boot loop. Other than that, no problems. I brought it back and they gave me a refurb one (made in China.) No issues yet, except ONE dropped call and a random reboot once or twice. And I hope that's it...

Re: How many Galaxy Nexuses have you gone through?
On my second and getting ready to call for #3. Both phones have had the data drop, mic cut out, echo to other party, and loud squelching on my end during calls. Love everything about this thing but the dang phone! Unlocked, rooted and on newest radios and build and still very disappointed. Hope 3rd time is a charm because I'm not sure there will be a #4 if not.

So, been through six now and questioning my sanity, but I want to stay on Verizon and can't find anything better.
Phone 1- overheat on charge and data drop at least one a day
Phone2- could not hold a signal, sent back immediately
Phone 3- worked perfectly, except the earphone Jack didn't work
Phone 4- bad speaker- sent back immediately
Phone 5- worked great except when I turned off the stay on while charging feature than had the data drop issue
Phone 6- just plain sucks. Data drop, poor signal, call drop, overheat
I'm cutting my losses and going back to phone 5, which I had my it support save. She thinks I am nuts to keep this phone and won't provision it to anyone else in the company.
Best phone I've ever hated or worst phone I've ever loved?
