Default Switching to Galaxy Nexus - quick question about the sim card

Hello everyone! I've done a fair bit of Googling and I couldn't find the answer to my question, so here I am.

The issue is this. I'm exchanging my iPhone 4S for my friend's Galaxy Nexus. Both of us are on Verizon. I wondering how this will work with the sim card inside the Galaxy Nexus, as his phone has one and mine does not.

We're doing the exchange at the local Verizon store, but I honestly don't trust the employees there to have any idea what they're talking about. I've been in there a few times and left frustrated on more occasions than I'd have liked.

Will I be able to simply activate the phone like any regular Verizon device, or will special measures have to be taken due to the LTE sim card?

Thanks for your time, and I look forward to the responses.

Go to Verizon, say you need a SIM and you need to activate the phone. Should be in and out in no time.

Be prepared to buy a sim card. I sold a Razr to a guy on craigslist and he asked if would meet him at a verizon store and i agreed. It was an authorized retailer (goWireless i think) and they charged him $10 for the micro sim card. Just a little warning.

    Corporate Verizon gives them free.
