I think the sim replacement is a stall. I replaced mine and there was no difference.
I am going to get the refurbished one tomorrow and keep both for a few days to trouble shoot.
I just can't imagine this being normal for this phone. It is just so unreliable I stopped using it for data.

The next question.
If there really is a problem with the nexus, would you chose a Rezound? I can't use Motorola because it is not compatible to my activesync server.

Got my phone yesterday.
Signal is now normal. No dropped signals at all.
Haven't tried 4g yet though.

Maybe it's your area and the towers?

I started taking my signal losses with "No Signal Alert" app. Since 4pm today, it has dropped 9 times. (is 9:15pm now). Sigh

Re: Radio Signal Sucks!
I was at work the other day talking with a coworker who also had a Nexus. My office is in a strong 4G area. We were talking about our phones when another coworker came over.
This other coworker had a Rezound. He runs a speedtest and got 20Mbps. The coworker with a Nexus and myself got awful speedtest results because, neither of us had a 4G signal. I rebooted my phone and upon the reboot, I had a 4G signal. But, when I ran speedtest, I only got 2.3Mbps.
