How many batteries charges do you use a day?
I plug in for as much of the day as I can. (usually most of the biz day). I am a heavy user of the phone and apps. I still go through 2 full batteries a day for use outside of the daytime. I keep 3 charged at all times just in case.
I turn off GPS, NFC, LTE and any useless app updates (like Facebook). I do not use an app killer as I heard this can actually make things worse in some cases as apps can fight with the app killer. I do use the screen medium to bright for a few hours a day. The system says this is where the majority of my batter use is going. If it's too dim I can't enjoy using it. The only constant updates are 3 email accounts that check at: 15 minutes, 1 hour and 4 hours (I think).
Curious if this is typical.
I really wish they would make the screens more efficient and the batteries 2.5+ times the capacity. I wouldn't mind the weight at all. I have tried extended batteries in the past with less then good results. The cheap backs that come with it are horrible. And they need to be more like the Mophie Jucie pack to make better use of space. The rep at VZW tried to sell me an external that you tether to your phone. Carrying around an external battery is ridiculous. Going to the Android Central Store now to see if a Mophie Juice pack like product exists for this phone.
Your experience and accessory advice is greatly appreciated.
cheers!

My standard practice is this - always on car charger, always on charger at work, off charger during classes/general use, then plug in overnight.
I've only ever taken it "down" 4-5 times, and never below 15%.Former moderator & advisor.

SEIDIO has one. They made the cheap one I had bad luck with on my BB. this one at least appears to wrap the phone as opposed to fitting only on the existing back. And allows for a 3800 battery. But the best review summarizes to : it's better then nothing.
Mophie only has an external.
I hate that SEIDIO designs their covers with a hard ridge around the battery. Mophie tapers their cases nicely. And they use really cheap plastic.

Re: How many batteries charges do you use a day?
I have the Seidio 3800mah ugly extended battery, I put it on the charger every other night with moderate use, or every night with heavy use. 4G/GPS always on, bluetooth/wifi always off, auto-brightness, 2 push email accounts.

Re: How many batteries charges do you use a day?
I have 2 extended batteries. One fully charged battery is always in my pocket.
Now, having said that, I take my phone off the charger at 6am daily and have only used the spare battery once in the last two weeks. And, that was because I was using the Wifi hotspot feature for about 7 hours during that day.Droid (2009 original stock) --> Incredible --> Thunderbolt (Rooted/ROMed) --> Galaxy Nexus (Rooted/ROMed) --> Note 2 (stock) - 04-25-2012, 03:56 PM #7

I have 2 batteries. Oem one and the oem extended... i rarely ever bring my original since ive been using the extended one... on an average work day, i charge it in the late afternoon and will be back at 100% for the ride home...
If i know i will be out all day around town.. i make sure im at 100% and limit my useage throughout the trip.. by the time i get home or to a charger.. im probably down to 60%. And thats with occasional useage. And of course i bring my charge with me at all times. - 04-25-2012, 03:58 PM #8
This makes me happy I don't have a nexus... I go all day (5a to 11p) and still have at least 30% to spare...

Re: How many batteries charges do you use a day?
I am thinking either my phone habit is worse then I thought and I need to put it down - or I'm not getting the battery life that I should be.
the last 2 hours off charge (I wanted to see what would happen) - less on screen time then usual as I was working and listening to podcasts and I am down to 70% in just over 2 hours.
Not good.
I am used to going all day on the iPhone without charging and not dimming the screen much at all. Same usage habits.

Re: How many batteries charges do you use a day?
I have just the original battery and have only brought the charger to work with me once in 3 weeks so far. Lately I've been getting about 10-11 hours out of a single charge, which is just great for my purposes.

TabGuy - care to share your secret? Or, what you are/are not running? I've tried using Juice Defender and it make a difference. But it's annoying when switching on/off Wi-Fi to 3g.
Would love any tips buy the "all day'ers" in this thread. Thanks! - 04-25-2012, 06:57 PM

Just uninstalled FB. Despite turning off all notifications it was still running. The latest vs. may be more aggressive. Also uninstalled a bunch of useless apps. 4 hours down 50% battery with light use.

Not sure about this particular phone, but every android I have ever had, I keep the brightness on minimum (a matte finish anti glare screen protector is a must), keep widgets that update to a minimum, and make sure everything closes up when I'm done... (haven't used juicedefender since my hero... 4 phones ago)
I work outside, so charging is impossible during the day...

If I can't get 12 hours with 2 hours screen on on 3G all day (no LTE here), I'm doing it wrong. If I'm on wifi all day (only at home), 18 hours is the norm with 5 hours screen on. AOKP b34, imoseyon's leanKernel (Smart Reflex undervolting, gamma at 7), GPS, Google sync (gmail, talk, G+, GReader, etc) Twitter, and Tapatalk all running, plus a few other things. All on stock battery. I have a few chargers scattered about just in case, and a spare battery (doesn't get much use).
