Re: Big Red Galaxy Nexus getting 4.0.4 IMM76K?
Man, I really hope so. Every day I keep trying to find out more and more about unlocking and rooting, but I seem to get more confused as I read more. I just want a consistent signal, that's all. I want to pick up my phone, look up something, without having to wait anywhere from 30 seconds to 10 minutes for a 3g signal while in a 4g area. My phone has way too many issues with going between the 2 so I leave it on 3g.

Man I want that baseband. I'm sure the system changes will be incorporated into most--if not all--"mainstream roms." But really, I want the radios lol

Re: Big Red Galaxy Nexus getting 4.0.4 IMM76K?
I have been tempted to root and ROM only because of some redraw issues, since I don't seem to be having the same radio issues as some others. I don't have strong data connections everywhere, but I have never had a call cut out and have never dropped a call. This news, even if it is really nothing, is just enough to make me hold off to see whether the official update is around the corner.

It would be nice if someone could verify that this update is for real. If only we knew someone with inside information (HINT: someone with an alias similar to a stinky bear in China or a sweet trick bike from the 80s)...
Anyone? Bueller? Anyone?

After reading the comments, seems like a few of them are getting the updates. What is funny is that nobody has copied the download links so that others can pull the files for the rest of us. If I want working I'd go back to stock and call VZW and have them push it to me lol.

Re: Big Red Galaxy Nexus getting 4.0.4 IMM76K?
I'm sure once it's pushed out 30-40% of issues will be addressed in it, and the next 3 months will be passed by hearing those with the remaining 60% of problems rant "I'll never buy a Nexus device again!", or "Samsung is garbage!", or "Verizon has destroyed the Nexus brand!", or "It's a fake Nexus!!!".

Re: Big Red Galaxy Nexus getting 4.0.4 IMM76K?
From what I gather from reading oodles of info about the gnex update process, Google makes the updates, ships them to verizon for QoS testing, then after the update is approved GOOGLE pushes the updates, so it would make sense that verizon employees would know nothing about it as google would release it on their own time.
Glad to see something is FINALLY being done. Someone pull the update from your phone when you get it and give it to us so we can flash it (or at least the radios)
